Sawgrass, The birthday trip
My family got together after the first of the year for my father's 60th birthday and my brother Ryan's 30th. It was a weekend filled with laughing, drinking, and betting...
For some reason, when we all get together bets have to be made. No one ever lets you win either. I remember once losing $10 to my father when I was little over a game of gin that we were playing and the stakes were a penny a point. I suppose the thrill of the bet these days lies mainly in the victory dance for the winner. We don't just win gracefully, oh no... there is taunting and cheering for days, even if it is just over a few bucks.
Here I am losing a few games of pool to the Jason/Dad team. I got cocky and double-or-nothing'd the bet. Outcome: I had to go to the ATM. I lost a grand total of $65
Here we are after playing mini-golf at the Resort's wooded putt-putt area. I could've lost up to $4.50 that day but instead came up slightly ahead and only had to pay out $1.80. Jason (in the middle) was the big winner for the day.
We had family portraits done on the beach this year for my dad's big birthday gift. This is just a picture of us fooling around after the photo shoot.

I'm not sure an explanation is necessary here... However, it was the same night I lost that pool game...
